THE MAINS STORY

From a young age, I knew that barbering was my true calling. At 12 years old, I found myself captivated by barber tutorials, honing my skills by practicing on myself in front of the mirror. It was a secret passion that I kept to myself. not yet ready to share with the world. While I pursued my love for sports and fitness, ultimately leading me into gyms and training. the art of barbering remained a constant in my life. I continued to cut hair for friends and family, sharpening my craft with each snip.

When the world was struck by the pandemic, and the industry hit a low point, I decided to take the leap and commit fully to my passion. In 2019, I obtained my barber license, immersing myself in studying hair and the vibrant culture surrounding barbershops. I dove into everything from business management to haircut techniques, fueled by my passion for the craft.

I have had the incredible opportunity to open my own barbershop earlier than expected. Mains will take residence in a stunning 70-year-old heritage building in downtown Bellingham. Its location holds a special meaning as it stands across the street from my childhood friend's business, Banter. We share a bond so deep that we've tattooed each other's initials. It's the perfect space to establish Mains, a place that goes beyond haircuts. Mains will be gathering spots, fostering a sense of community through local events and shared experiences.
